2010 Resolutions

I thought I would do something different, out of the ordinary and resolve to do things better in 2010. Novel idea, right? Well every year I try to be creative in my resolutions, but they really have the same end result.
Here is the creative spin on my resolutions…

Run a 5k every month (translation: lose weight). I may even consider joining Memphis Runners Track Club, because I am a joiner. The first race in Memphis is this Saturday, but the high as of now is only going to be 31 degrees. I have gloves and ear warmers, but I don’t think they are going to cut it. Lots of layers for sure!

Stay in the River City Concert Band until July (translation: participate longer than you did last year). Here’s the rub folks, most of the people in this band are your grandparents. They have time to practice their instrument because they are retired. I have already come to the realization that those in the band are geeks, but refuse to think that I am one of them. I am also anti-Khaki bottoms, which is the summer uniform. I love playing my clarinet, though.

Stop cracking my knuckles (translation: take better care of my body). Yeah, I have already broken this one. Someone told me it is actually good for your hands. I was only doing it because I thought my hands were starting to look old. It turns out I just need to moisturize more often.
So that’s it for my 2010 resolutions. I do have lots of plans for 2010 besides the acts listed above (like a wedding).
Do you have any good resolutions?
